Canadian Nightcrawlers – Large Live Bait for Sportfish & Hook Training

NOW SHIPPING | Guaranteed Live Arrival | Shipped Cold for Maximum Vitality

*OVERNIGHT SHIPPING REQUIRED APRIL-SEPTEMBER

Canadian Nightcrawlers are the heavyweight option in the live bait world — averaging 4–8 inches in length, with thick bodies that predator fish can’t ignore. These worms are a top choice for targeting large pond fish like bass, catfish, and hybrid striped bass, whether you’re casting a hook or tossing in high-value live forage to support feeding behavior.

Their size and movement make them ideal for training pellet-fed fish to recognize live bait, especially in ponds where catchability matters. Durable, wriggly, and slow to die off, they stay active in the water longer — giving your fish more time to strike.

Why Customers Choose Them

  • Larger Profile = Bigger Strikes – Perfect for targeting larger catfish, bass, hybrid striped bass, and catfish.

  • Premium Hook Bait – Holds up to casting and stays lively in warm or cool water.

  • Easiest Worm to Rig – Firm-bodied and clean to handle, they stay on the hook without splitting.

  • Great for Feeding Response – Triggers natural predation in pellet-trained fish.

  • Cold-Packed for Vitality – Shipped chilled to preserve movement and shelf life.

  • High Demand in Warm Months – Often sells out fast during peak fishing and stocking season.

Size & Quantity Options

  • Worms average 4–8 inches long

Shipping & Handling

  • Ships Monday–Wednesday in insulated containers

  • Refrigerate on arrival (ideal temp: 40–50°F)

Care Instructions

Canadian Nightcrawlers are shipped in dry bedding to prevent heat stress during transit. Upon arrival, move them to a ventilated container with fresh, cool bedding to restore hydration and movement.

Keep them refrigerated (40–50°F). Bedding should be moist but not soaked.

Use chemical-free peat moss or similar material. When squeezed, bedding should release only a few drops of water.

Best For

  • Feeding large pond predators high-protein live forage

  • Training fish to strike bait after being pellet-fed

  • Anglers fishing for bass, catfish, or stripers who need big, castable worms

  • Anyone looking for the easiest worm to rig and use on a hook
