Restore clarity to muddy ponds with this natural, soil-safe solution. Gypsum binds suspended clay and fine particles, gently clearing water without harsh chemicals—perfect for ponds affected by runoff, livestock activity, or disturbed banks.

Application Rate:

Apply 4–8 bags per ¼ acre of pond surface area.
Use the higher rate for severely muddy water or heavy clay content.

Why It Works:

Accelerated Results: For faster clarity, mix gypsum with water using a drill and bucket to create a milky solution—then pour directly into the pond. This allows rapid dispersion and faster clearing in areas with high turbidity. Reapply weekly until water clears.

Long-Term Strategy: For ongoing protection, apply gypsum as a “speed bump” on the bank where rainwater flows into the pond. Every rain event doses your pond naturally, maintaining clear water over time without reapplication.  FOR BEST RESULTS: Agitate between rains with a rock rake and reapply annually.
