▾1. Propose your pondView details

Send us the location and a contact for the HOA, city, or property owner. You can suggest a pond even if you do not manage it—we will need the owner's approval before opening a project.

Not sure who to ask? Copy the message below and send it to your HOA director, parks department, or Chamber of Commerce.

Message to get the conversation started

Hi [name],

Would [HOA / city / organization] be interested in community-funded fish stocking at [pond or park]? Newalla Fish Company offers a program to help determine pond acreage, recommend fish options, and set a target budget. Once approved, the project would have its own link for residents and local businesses to help fund the stocking.

This could be an opportunity for fall trout fishing and more outdoor activity in our community. Who would be the right person to discuss pond access and approval with Newalla?

Thank you,
[your name and contact information]

▾2. Approve the planView details

We speak directly with your representative, help determine the pond's acreage, and discuss depth, seasonal conditions, existing fish, and your goals.

We recommend suitable fish and quantities, then set a target budget covering the agreed stocking and delivery costs. Together, we confirm the minimum viable stocking, deadline, receiving contact, and what happens if the goal is missed.

▾3. Share your projectView details

Each approved pond and season gets its own project page and stocking packages—for example, “Willow Creek Pond · Fall Trout Stocking 2026.” Payments stay linked to that specific project. The page shows the plan, target budget, funding progress, deadline, and a contribution button once activated.

Your HOA can email or text the link to residents. Municipalities can share it through the city, parks department, or Chamber of Commerce to invite local businesses to support fishing, outdoor recreation, and potential visitor activity.

Message to share once your project is active

Help stock [pond / park] with [fish option] this [season]. Our community goal is [amount], and we have raised [amount] so far. View the plan, choose a stocking package, and see what happens if we miss the goal here: [project link]. Please share with neighbors and local businesses who would like to support more fishing close to home.

▾4. Reach the goal and stock the pondView details

Once the agreed funding milestone is met, we confirm suitable conditions, required approvals, fish availability, and delivery with your local representative. The fish go to the community's approved pond, rather than to individual contributors.

After stocking, share photos and an update with everyone who helped make it happen.

$4,200 raised$6,000 goal

What if we fall short?

We can plan a smaller stocking or refund everyone's payment. The options will be agreed and explained on the project page before anyone pays.

Stock fewer fish: If a three-acre pond campaign raises about two-thirds of its target, we can assess whether fewer fish can be stocked throughout that pond. Fewer fish will likely mean more difficult fishing and may incur a delivery fee if the quantity drops too low.

Refund the payments: If the minimum viable milestone is missed by the deadline and no agreed alternative applies, the default is a full refund to each contributor.

Keep building toward next season: Contributors may choose to carry their payments forward. Carryover is optional, and any revised price, quantity, or timing must be explained and accepted.

▾Payments and tax deductionsView details

Each active project will outline the stocking package, the raise deadline, and its refund terms. Newalla-operated purchase campaigns collect refundable advance payments and track them by project; this is not an escrow service.

Payments to Newalla and HOA stocking purchases are not automatically tax-deductible donations. Any eligible charitable or municipal donation arrangement will identify its receiving organization and explain the applicable terms before payment.
