European Nightcrawlers – Live Forage & Durable Hook Bait

NOW SHIPPING | Guaranteed Live Arrival | Shipped Cold for Maximum Vitality

European Nightcrawlers are the ideal crossover between supplemental forage and hook-ready bait. Averaging 2–4 inches in length, they’re lively, protein-rich, and far more heat-tolerant than Canadian crawlers — making them a favorite for pond owners and anglers alike.

Simply toss a handful into the water while feeding high-protein pellets to trigger natural feeding behavior and reinforce bait recognition. These worms act as a perfect bridge between pellet training and strike response — especially in fish being conditioned for hook-and-line fishing.  Use as a hook and line bait between feedings.

Why Customers Choose Them

  • Triggers Natural Feeding – Wriggling motion and scent stimulate aggressive responses.

  • Hook-Ready Size – Durable enough for casting, small enough to be taken easily.

  • Pond-Tested Strategy – Used by pond owners to condition pellet-fed fish to strike bait.

  • Heat-Tolerant & Hardy – Performs reliably in warmer conditions.

  • Often Sold Out Mid-Season – Order early to keep your feeding program on track.

Size & Quantity Options

  • Sold in packs of 500 and 1000

  • Worms average 2–4 inches long

Use them during routine feedings to introduce live prey behavior without disrupting your pellet program.

Shipping & Handling

  • Ships Monday–Wednesday in insulated packaging

  • Refrigerate on arrival (ideal range: 50–70°F)

  • Not available to Alaska or Hawaii

Care Instructions

European Nightcrawlers are shipped in dry bedding to stay stable during transit. On arrival, transfer them into a breathable container with fresh, moist bedding — they'll fully rebound within 2–4 days.

Store between 50–70°F, ideally in a refrigerator or shaded location. Bedding should be damp (not wet) and can serve as a food source.

Use chemical-free peat moss or shredded paper. Add just enough water that a gentle squeeze releases a few drops.

Best For

  • Feeding high-protein live forage to pond sportfish

  • Training fish to take bait while maintaining pellet routines

  • Anglers seeking reliable, castable live worms
