Shipping & Delivery:
Coppernose bluegill can ship more frequently than our other species. If you order them with fish that ship on Monday or Thursday, we’ll hold the coppernose bluegill and coordinate shipments so they arrive on the same day whenever possible.
We’ll notify you of your delivery date before shipping. Someone must be available to receive the fish upon delivery and stock them within 15 minutes.

Is your common bluegill listing for common or hybrid bluegill?
Our common bluegill listing is for Lepomis macrochirus. It is separate from our coppernose bluegill listing and is not labeled as hybrid bluegill. Choose by the product name and selected size, rather than using “bream” or “sunfish” as an exact species description.
Where can I find coppernose bluegill stocking guidance?
Review this product description for the available fish sizes, package quantities and supplemental stocking guidance. Consider your pond’s surface acreage, existing fish and whether the coppernose bluegill are being stocked for fishing or as forage. A package count is the number you are buying, not a universal stocking rate.
How do I choose a pellet size?
Choose a pellet the fish can swallow readily and watch their feeding response. Smaller fish need smaller particles; a mixed-size population may need more than one pellet size. If pellets are repeatedly mouthed and rejected, check the size and feed choice before offering more.
How do I confirm my delivery date?
Please contact us before ordering if you need a particular date. We will confirm the shipping and arrival dates for your order. Availability, permits, weather and carrier service can affect timing. Overnight service describes transit after shipment, not the day after you order.
Can the fish sit on my porch until I get home?
No. Arrange for someone to be present when FedEx delivers, receive the fish immediately and introduce them into their prepared pond or tank within 15 minutes of the logged delivery time. Direct sun, extreme heat or extreme cold can quickly become fatal. If nobody can be there, contact us before the shipment is scheduled.
